Junior Achievement Entrepreneurial Vanguard Award 2017
President and CEO of RP Funding, Robert Palmer, had the honor of receiving the 2017 Entrepreneurial Vanguard Award from Junior Achievement of Central Florida. The Entrepreneurial Vanguard Award recognizes successful entrepreneurs whose pioneering business endeavors have flourished and who continue to contribute to the community in Central Florida.
Founded in 1961, the organization's goal is to serve the community better and support it with an educated future workforce. JA is dedicated to ensuring all graduating students in Central Florida are financially literate, ready for the workforce and grounded in leadership and entrepreneurial principles.
Orlando Business Journal Fast 50
RP Funding, Inc. and RP Title and Escrow both received the accomplishment of not only being nominated in the Orlando Business Journal’s 2017 Fast 50, but finishing in 6th and 4th place out of 500 nominees as part of Central Florida’s fastest growing companies. President and CEO, Robert Palmer, was there to collect the prestigious awards presented by OBJ Market President and Publisher Robert Bobroff, Tony Jenkins of Florida Blue, and Steve Fisher of TD Bank.
The Fast 50 is a program that recognizes the region’s fastest-growing firms, ranked by percentage of revenue growth. Companies had to have been established by 2013 and had gross revenue of at least $1 million in 2015 or $5 million in 2017 to qualify. Companies must be at least 51% privately-held, headquartered in Central Florida.
Florida Governors Innovators Under 40 Award
President of RP Funding, Robert Palmer has been named a winner of the Governor's Innovators Under 40 Award. The awards honor small business executives in Florida under 40 who have generated at least ten jobs in 2012. Only 11 executives statewide received this honorable award from Governor Rick Scott, who personally recognized the contributions made to Florida’s economy, Robert Palmer being one of them. Robert Palmer commented saying, “We're proud of the Governor's award and proud of the impact that we've had on Florida's economy. We're helping people purchase homes by saving them thousands on a mortgage and making the process as simple and seamless as possible."
Housing Wire Rising Stars Award
President and CEO of RP Funding, Robert Palmer, was 1 of 40 winners to receive Housing Wire’s 40 under 40 Rising Star Awards. The nominations this year cut across all mortgage finance segments — originations, servicing, investing and real estate. The winners are not people who merely show potential, but those who can point to measurable accomplishments that have propelled their companies and the industry as a whole into new levels of growth and profit. Palmer was a clear winner by being in the forefront of optimizing systems and processes as well as a confident and successful risk taker ensuring the mortgage industry has never been in better hands.
Special Olympics Spirit Award
RP Funding was delighted to receive the 2013 Spirit Award from Special Olympics Florida. The Spirit Award honors a person or business that demonstrates continual support and a positive impact on the Special Olympics program. In response to the Spirit Award, Palmer says, "Receiving awards is always gratifying. However, receiving the Spirit Award has a special significance to my staff and me. Our time spent with the Special Olympics is meaningful and as we have gotten to know the athletes, it impacts us on a deeper level." RP Funding aims to uphold their role as active devotees of the Special Olympics.
Orlando Magic: Champion of the Community
RP Funding was named the latest Champions of the Community (COTC) partner of the Magic and Amway Center also formally making them the official mortgage lending partner of the Orlando Magic and Amway Center. As Champions of the Community, RP Funding joins an exclusive tier of brands including Walt Disney World, Florida Hospital, PepsiCo., Harris, and FanDuel. RP Funding will boost their recognition at the Amway Center with signage around the court as well as RP Funding branding underneath the center-hung video board and pole pads. In addition, in 2017 RP Funding became the Founding Partner of the Orlando Magic’s G League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic. RP Funding also established as the naming rights partner of the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
2012 Small Business of the Year
RP Funding has been recognized by the Orlando Business Journal in its 2012 Outstanding Small Business Awards. The awards credits small businesses that are both developing and increasing as well as repaying back to the community. Rivaling against many other businesses, RP Funding took the top award in its division. In response to this year’s award, Palmer said, "We had a great year in 2012 and appreciate all the recognition that we have been receiving, but what it really shows is that we're changing the mortgage business in Central Florida and proving that we can be successful while saving consumers thousands of dollars on a mortgage.”

RP Funding President Robert Palmer was awarded the Orlando Business Journal's 2012 Outstanding Small Business Executive of the Year. The program recognizes the highest-level company executives who have had significant achievements in their careers in the past year, have a strong record of innovation, outstanding performance in their work and are actively involved in our community.
